Joanne Isdahl

Client Services Accountant |

Upon graduating from the University of Minnesota with an Accounting degree, Joanne started work at a public accounting firm with a diverse client base. After two years in public accounting and obtaining her CPA license, she spent several years in various accounting roles at two different companies.

Joanne decided to stay at home while her kids were young and volunteered in their activities as well as community organizations. As her kids got older, she returned to the accounting world on a part time basis with her former employer. She then became an independent contractor, helping small businesses with their accounting.

Her experience working with small businesses, along with her interest in promoting the advancement of women in business drew her to WomenVenture. Knowing that not everyone is as excited about debits and credits as she is, Joanne really enjoys helping people gain confidence in understanding their financials and understand how to do their day to day bookkeeping.

When not at work, Joanne loves being outdoors. The Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness is a favorite! She also enjoy sports – in her alternate life, she would be a professional golfer or an Olympic curler!
