Samantha Wolf

Communications Officer | swolf@womenventure.org

Biography

Samantha grew up in a small town in northern Wisconsin, and moved to the ‘big city’ for college in 2010. After graduating with a B.A. in Communications and a minor in Business Administration, she worked briefly for a large Twin Cities company before deciding to follow her heart to the non-profit sector.

Samantha’s passion for women’s empowerment began early in her college career when she and three peers organized a “Week of Women” on campus, including a poetry slam, film screening, and a production of The Vagina Monologues (in which she also performed). Prior to her role with WomenVenture, Samantha coordinated marketing and communication strategy for a nonprofit in Wayzata, Minnesota that supports people with developmental disabilities. Her role included everything communications related from graphic design to website management and beyond. She learned a lot at the organization, and especially enjoyed working one on one with the supported individuals.

Samantha is lucky to have been surrounded by strong female role-models since birth, and she is excited to help other strong women live their dream of owning an independent business. In her free time, Samantha can be found hiking in the woods, beating friends at cribbage in a local brewery, or in her hammock reading a good book.
