Sue Moses

Vice President of Lending |

Sue brings an extensive background in commercial banking to the Loan Team at WomenVenture. Born and raised in Minnesota, Sue headed west after college and joined the commercial group at First Bank in Billings Montana. She had the opportunity to work with companies of all sizes—from a sole proprietor shoe repair shop to a publicly held regional airline. After eight years in Montana, Sue got lured back to Minnesota to join a specialized lending group that worked with energy companies—from exploration to refining to retail distribution. When the group got moved to Denver, Sue opted to remain in Minnesota and joined a new group called Civic Banking. There she had the pleasure of financing affordable housing projects and working with a variety of community groups. Sue enjoyed this tremendously.

A few years later Sue was asked to move to Government Banking. There she led teams on both the credit and the non-credit side and had the opportunity to be a part of some large-scale projects. She was active in the sector and was a founding member of Women in Public Finance-MN. Sue’s final banking position was in Commercial Banking, providing loans and other services to middle market companies.

In 2019 Sue decided it was time for a new chapter. She wanted to join a mission-based organization where she could help make a difference in the community. She was thrilled at the opportunity to join the WomenVenture team as Senior Loan Officer. Now she works collaboratively with other team members to help women establish and grow small businesses. She feels privileged at the opportunity to work for WomenVenture!

In her free time, Sue enjoys spending time with her family and doing just about anything out doors.
