Biography
Katie earned her undergraduate degree in political science from Iowa State University and her master’s degree in education from the University of Iowa. She worked as a preschooler teacher through graduate school and after graduation, continued to work in the field of early childhood education as a center director for 8 years. Before joining the staff at Women Venture, she worked for more than 20 years at a local college teaching and mentoring adult learners.
Katie lives with her husband, 3 boys, and 2 dogs (Elton and Guido) in Golden Valley. When not at work, she loves cheering on her beloved Minnesota Vikings. She describes herself as a hockey/soccer mom and as a super-sized history nerd.
