Biography
Rafferty Markham is WomenVenture’s Data and Reporting Specialist championing critical mission work on the Advancement team. He previously served as a Lending Specialist within WomenVenture’s lending team, supporting clients through the loan process from inquiry to closing. He is a passionate supporter of community economic development and is especially excited about working to empower entrepreneurs from all walks of life.
Rafferty has spent his entire career working to advance the good of his communities, always from a financial and operations perspective. He has worked as an accountant and data analyst for a variety of nonprofit and government organizations, and most recently his professional focus has been on disability and mental health service organizations. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and project management from Champlain College, and a licensure in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from Hamline University.
Outside of work, Rafferty is an avid (but very slow!) hiker, a writer, a card and board game enthusiast, and an LGBTQ+ advocate. He lives in St. Paul with his wife and their three wonderful cats.
